When we work with clients and partners, I recommend that they publish daily blog posts, at least 5 days a week. If you don’t treat your blog like a serial publication, no one is going to visit it on a regular basis, you won’t build a base of regular readers who write comments, and it’s going to be pretty obvious to visitors that you don’t have a lot to say about your products or anything else.

Blogs that post frequently are also favored by search engines, especially Google. If you’ve registered a site map with Google’s Webmaster Tools and post frequently, your content will be indexed more frequently, often on the day that you post it. This provides a lot of benefit, particularly if you make a habit to go back and optimize older posts to boost their page rank or relevancy.  Those changes will be reflected in Google search results immediately.
